Airsoft Sniper Team
Airsoft Sniper Team, Part 1
Most airsoft combats / war-games are in fast phase, many airsofters do not want to be a sniper. Maybe because they lost interest due to the tight restriction in RULES of ENGAGEMENT. While other members of the team enjoying the rush… suppressing the opponents. Airsoft RULES of ENGAGEMENT are almost the same in many part of this world, only few technical adjustment which been made to fit the safety concern.
Common Airsoft RULES of ENGAGEMENT for sniper
- Airsoft Snipers can ONLY shoot in Semi Auto Mode with primary weapon and one second between shots fired.
- Airsoft Snipers can ONLY Engaged targets with primary weapon in minimum distance of 100 ft.
- Airsoft Snipers permitted to Engaged targets with secondary weapon below minimum distance of 100 ft.
- Airsoft Snipers can ONLY Engaged targets from outside the buildings.
- Airsoft Sniper rifle should have more energy (in Joule or FPS) than other rifle and within the energy that permitted by the Game Master / Airsoft RULES of ENGAGEMENT.
Airsoft Sniper do carry high precision rifle… they need one, because their have to take down an opponent which is more than 100 feet away. Therefore in interest of safety such restriction had to be made.
Snipers do not work alone. They works in pair, other member of this pair is the Spotter. Spotter jobs are to identified and confirm the target; communication specialist and calculate the projectile path. Where the snipers jobs are to aim the targets and takedown the targets as authorization to kill granted by the mission control.
Aisoft Snipers Team – forget about the real world sniper team, why? The main reason is, their can take down targets more than 600ft away. With proper camouflage the enemy may takes time to detect and to counter attack. They have enough time to move out and to be extracted to safety.
You! How to enjoy yourself? Airsoft Sniper Team.
The success of an Airsoft Sniper Team measured by how many confirmed takedown and how far the target was. You should have that in your mind, if not… forget yourself to be a sniper and starts join the Calvary…. Hahahahaaa…
The first step, find a partner that like to be a sniper. Start to look for two PRIMARY WEAPON, it can be an Airsoft bolt action rifle or an AEG. Why two? Because both airsoft sniper and airsoft spotter should master the long range shooting skill. Modifications have to be done to the airsoft bolt action rifle or AEG to meet the specification in Airsoft RULES of ENGAGEMENT.
Then look for a monocular with or without range finder. Why monocular, can I use binocular? With binocular, a person has to use both their hand. It is not practical because an Airsoft Spotter need to maintain radio communication and gave touch signals to the sniper. At the same time, Airsoft snipers have their eyes on target, so the Airsoft spotter need to touch the Airsoft Sniper to start the chat or signals the takedown.
The final step one are to have two AEG / Airsoft Assault rifle plus two sidearm as support weapon and a pair of walkie-talkie / two way radio set. Start practicing the radio communication skill.
Step 2 … The Airsoft Sniper Training… to be continue…
